Food collection drives in December

Thank you to everyone who has organised reverse Advent calendars and Christmas food collections at their schools, workplaces and other groups.  Your kindness has been greatly appreciated!  If you are just considering organising a food collection, could we suggest, as an alternative, a post-Christmas initiative?  We really appreciate donations from our standard shopping list in the quieter weeks of the new year.  Thank you very much.

Christmas food items

Thank you to everyone for all the lovely seasonal fayre you have donated to the foodbank these past weeks.  Thanks to you we now have more than enough Christmas cakes, puddings and mince pies etc to support our clients with lots of special extra treats this year, which is wonderful.  Your generosity as always has been very much appreciated.

Seasonal food donations

Unfortunately, we are unable to distribute Christmas food and treats to our clients after 24th December.   However, should you have any seasonal fayre remaining after Christmas Day that you are unable to use, please do consider donating this to the Mid Surrey Community Fridge.  The ethos of this amazing local project is to prevent food waste by redistributing good but surplus food for free to the people of Mid Surrey, through community fridges located in major towns and a mobile van.  This food is available to everyone.  Check out their website for more details.
