Last year Dorking Area Foodbank supplied 253 Holiday Boost Bags to families in Dorking and the surrounding area to help feed hungry children during the school holidays.
When children are on their school holidays they are not getting a school meal during the day. At these times the additional food bill can be difficult for some families. Each school holiday – 6 times a year – we support families by supplying Holiday Boost Bags. Working closely with our Referral Agencies we are able to help any family that they know of who would struggle to feed their family at these times.
Referral Agencies tell us how many families they know of who would benefit from his help. We then drop the bags to the Referral Agencies and they pass them onto the families.
